Chiral droplets and current-driven motion in ferromagnets

چکیده
We find numerically skyrmionic textures with skyrmion number $Q=0$ in ferromagnets the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, perpendicular anisotropy, and magnetostatic field. These have a part an antiskyrmion part, they may be called chiral droplets. They are stable infinite film as well disk-shaped magnetic elements. Droplets found films for values of parameters close to transition from ferromagnetic spiral phase. Under spin-transfer torque, move direction spin flow behave solitary waves Newtonian character, stark contrast Hall dynamics standard $Q=1$ skyrmion.

Interface Motion in Disordered Ferromagnets
We consider numerically the depinning transition in the randomfield Ising model. Our analysis reveals that the three and four dimensional model displays a simple scaling behavior whereas the five dimensional scaling behavior is affected by logarithmic corrections. This suggests that d = 5 is the upper critical dimension of the depinning transition in the random-field Ising model. Furthermore, w...
متن کاملCurrent-Driven Domain Wall Motion: Velocity, Current and Phase Transition
The relation between domain wall motion and intensity of driven current is examined in a phenomenological theory where the kinetic energy is expanded as a series of polynomial function of current density just as the Landau phase transition theory. The dependency of velocity on current density is square root which degenerates into linear if the current is much higher than the critical value. The...
متن کاملMagnetization switching in ferromagnets by adsorbed chiral molecules without current or external magnetic field
Ferromagnets are commonly magnetized by either external magnetic fields or spin polarized currents. The manipulation of magnetization by spin-current occurs through the spin-transfer-torque effect, which is applied, for example, in modern magnetoresistive random access memory. However, the current density required for the spin-transfer torque is of the order of 1 × 106 A·cm-2, or about 1 × 1025...
متن کاملThermally assisted current-driven skyrmion motion
We study the behavior of skyrmions in thin films under the action of stochastic torques arising from thermal fluctuations. We find that the Brownian motion of skyrmions is described by a stochastic Thiele’s equation and its corresponding Fokker-Planck equation. The resulting Fokker-Planck equation is recognized as the one for a high-friction Brownian particle which has been studied extensively ...
